Microtek Laboratories announce that the “HATS” (Highly Accelerated Thermal Shock) tester has been adopted by their test facility. As the official reliability test for the PCQR² database, Microtek has seen a surge in requests for the HATS testing service.  This addition to Microtek's testing capabilities rounds off their Environmental Test area for both OEM and PWB shops.

The HATS system's programmable self-contained machine will do all the common reliability cycles, with a range from ­55°C to +160°C in air-to-air mode.  It contains a 4-wire precision resistance data acquisition system connected to a demountable-tray with 36 coupon slots (144 nets total) of sizes up to 1" x 2", including the PCQR² via module.
